Job Summary

Analyse and review existing Project Finance transactions portfolio, focussed on energy, natural resources and infrastructure sector transactions within EMEA region. Pre-dominantly focus on preparing credit monitoring reports, annual reviews and Execution.

Responsibilities

  • Write concise business review reports (identifying key credit risks);
  • Ability to analyse strengths and weaknesses of projects/structure in such transactions successfully taking into account the technology and commercial contracts proposed, regulatory and legal backdrop, and counterparties involved;
  • Excellent experience and knowledge of energy sector in the UK and ideally EMEA region;
  • Construct & review complex Project Finance models and key ratios and concepts used in them;
  • Undertake regular market and industry research with a view to manage the Bank's risk appetite and credit policies;
  • Liaise and work with clients, other departments or overseas branches of the Bank, and external professional counterparties;
  • Ongoing relationship management in relation to relevant clients with a view to maximize the overall return for the Bank;
  • Work with Loan Administration/Agency department;
  • Undertake annual and semi-annual reviews of existing facilities by the scheduled dates;
  • Undertake all KYC/KYB processes;
  • Undertake various administration duties in support of the Head of Department and the requirements of the department;
  • Complete ad hoc portfolio monitoring reports

Person Specification:

  • A proven track record of monitoring project finance transactions;

• 3-5 years relevant experience within Financial Services industry, focusing on Project and/or Structured Finance;

  • Experienced in project finance structures
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative credit analysis skills, with good financial modelling experience;
  • Ability to demonstrate project risks and commercial rationale
  • Understanding of legal documentation;
  • Ability to navigate around and understand finance and security documentation, both bilateral and syndicated;
  • Credit analysis skills;
  • Cash flow models;
  • Dealing with customers, banks, and advisers;
  • University degree level and relevant professional qualification advantageous;;
  • Broad Project Finance/advisory experience with Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Power and/or Global Infrastructure
