Job Summary

International corporate banking group are currently seeking a senior appointment within their Loan Syndication team. The role will provide senior coverage across the loans portfolio with full circle responsibility for origination, syndication and distribution.

To act as the subject expert for loan syndication and achieve Corporate Banking Department objectives through originating, structuring an executing loan syndication deals. Proactively contact potential corporate customers and maximise relationships and revenue generation and improve the loan syndication capability and competitiveness of the bank as whole.


Contract term: Full time, Permanent

Responsibilities

• To assist the department with marketing to external clients in the UK and Europe through the provision of meeting preparation.
• Originate, structure and execute corporate and structured syndicated finance transactions in the loan markets
• Maintaining good relationship with other syndication banks and participating/ distributing deals with these syndication banks.
• Preparing pitch books and presentations for clients, Information Memorandum for lead transactions and slides for bank meetings/road shows as needed.
• Negotiating key syndication terms with clients and supporting drafting term sheet and other legal documents.
• To coordinate with mainland group to explore the potential business and maximise relationships for international customers with business in China.
• To be a key driver in the development of current loan syndication capability, identifying areas that requires further improvement with solution and project plans.
• Preparation of credit applications and other internal process to execute loan deals.
• To assist, monitor and review facilities and loans after draw down including the maintenance of efficient diary procedures to monitor covenant checks, timely reviews, waivers, compliance and legal issues.
• To attend meetings and undertake follow up work including writing call reports.
